Unity Health Care

provides quality health and human services to the District of Columbia’s medically underserved and most vulnerable residents. Each year, Unity serves more than 81,000 people, including families and individuals who cannot afford medical care; homeless people; ex-offenders; and those trying to break free from substance abuse and mental illness.

Almost 70% of Unity patients live at or below the poverty level. Without Unity, most of them would not receive any health care.

The Unity Health Care Foundation helps corporations, foundations, and individuals support Unity’s critical work. The Foundation also creates opportunities for people to contribute their time and skills in support of Unity’s work.
